Derrick Talton Jr. Commits to University of Buffalo

Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball standout Derrick Talton Jr. is on his way to Division I college basketball next season.
 
Talton Jr. announced on social media on Tuesday that he will play at the University of Buffalo next season.
 
The accolades came in bunches for Talton Jr., with this season showing out as one of his best. He was a First Team All-American for the first time in his career this season, after being named to the Second Team All-American list a year ago. This year, he was also named the KCAC Defensive Player of the Year and Co-KCAC Player of the Year.
 
Talton Jr. credited his teammates for his success.
 
Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball finished the 2024-25 season 28-8 overall, including an appearance in the national championship game for the first time since 2009.
 
Congratulations once again to Derrick Talton Jr. as he continues his athletic career at the University of Buffalo.
