Pawhuska Girls Basketball Coach David Cash announced he was resigning after six seasons as Lady Huskies coach last week. Cash had served as a school administrator for 35 years and at age 58, he is also announcing his retirement.

Cash says while serving six years as Superintendent at Pawhuska, he was blessed to work with many great staff members and that carried over to his time as being the girls basketball coach as well.

Coming in as Superintendent, Cash credits Assistant Superintendent Beverly Moore for correcting some financial wrongs within the district. Cash added the community supported him throughout that, much like when Cash came in to make changes on the basketball court.

The 2023 Pawhuska Lady Husky team made the semifinals of the Class 2A state tournament. Cash plans to travel and spend time with family in his retirement, but says he considers Pawhuska home.
