Bruin Boys Face Challenge at Owasso

It will be a major challenge for Bartlesville High Bruin boys’ hoops on Friday night, as BHS takes on the No. 1 ranked team in the state in the first round of the 6A playoffs. BHS heads to Owasso to face the defending state champs.
Bruins have been much better in February with many signs of improvement despite only three wins all year to show for it.
Head coach Tommy DeSalme talks about some of the ways Bartlesville has taken steps forward.
Bartlesville has only one senior on this year’s roster in leading scorer Nash Zervas. Many of the juniors and freshman will have a chance to carry the Bruins over the next few years, and DeSalme says experience like Friday against Owasso will hopefully pay dividends down the line.
Rams enter at 21-4, with three of those losses coming against teams out of state.
Outside of the a to Union a couple weeks ago, Owasso has won 14 of 15 since Jan. 1 by an average margin of 41 points-per-game.
