Dewey Opens Regional Playoffs in Claremore

Dewey Bulldogger basketball returns on Thursday night for a regional semifinal against Sequoyah (Claremore) in Claremore.
Dewey enters the regional phase 1-0 in the playoffs after dominating Commerce in the district round on Monday, 83-55.
Sequoyah enters the contest with an overall record of 25-1. They are ranked fifth in the state in 3A. The Eagles are on a 14 game winning streak and haven't lost a game since Jan. 12. They took out Sperry in the district round, 116-36.
A win advances Dewey to the regional championship game on Saturday night in Adair against the winner of Vinita and Kellyville.
A loss sends Dewey to the consolation regional bracket where the Doggers would play Friday afternoon, also in Adair, against the winner of Adair and Westville.
