Dewey Dominates District Opener in Commerce

Dewey Bulldogger basketball ran through Commerce to open the postseason on Monday night in Commerce, 83-55.
The Bulldoggers found their groove offensively from the start, hanging 40 points in the first half.
The third quarter saw a lot of the same. Cooper Wood was a bright spot for the Bulldoggers, he made this three-pointer to close out the third quarter en route to a dominant win.
Monday night's performance offensively for Dewey marked a season-high in points and the first time they have clipped 80 this season.
The win advances Dewey to the winners bracket of regionals to take on Sequoyah (Claremore) in Claremore. Tip-off is Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.
The Dewey girls dropped their district playoff to the Commerce girls, 51-39. They will face elimination in a rematch with Sperry on Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. in Claremore.
