Bulldogger basketball dominated on Monday night over Sperry, 65-33.

From start to finish it was all Dewey. They trailed 3-0 in the first 15 seconds and immediately turned it around to a 12-0 run to take a nine point lead. The Bulldoggers led at the half, 29-18.

Outside shooting proved to be the key in the second half. In a season that has seen multiple guys step up to hit big shots for Dewey, it was Austin Eastman’s turn on Monday night. This three-pointer early in the second half got the Bulldoggers rolling.

The win for Dewey moves their overall record to 11-9 with Chelsea coming up on Tuesday night on the road. Last time out, Dewey dominated back on Dec. 17, 46-28. The Green Dragons enter the contest with a record of 10-13 after beating the Caney Valley Trojans on Saturday, 75-42.

The Dewey girls also picked up a win on Monday night in a defensive battle with Sperry, 25-20.

Dewey’s matchup against Chelsea is their final road contest of the regular season.
