Enid Sweeps BHS Hoops
Bartlesville High had some moments, but both the Lady Bruins and Bruins fell in their contests at Enid on Friday night in the 580.
The Lady Bruins had a close game slip away in the second half, while a decent first quarter did not last for the Bruin guys.
On the girl’s side first, Bartlesville lost to Enid, 56-45.
BHS was without its leading scorer in Sami Shaeffer. Bartlesville got out to a 10-2 lead, but Enid charged back quickly.
Kennedy Nubel scored 10 points for her fourth game in a row in double-figures. This and-one was one of the BHS highlights in the first half.
Bartlesville has dropped two in a row. The Lady Bruins are still in play for fourth in the District. BHS is 5-6 in District play, 10-9 overall.
On the guy’s side BHS made showed some promise in the first quarter, but Enid got hot in the final three. Plainsmen beat the Bruins, 78-37.
After scoring 27 points in the first half, Bartlesville only managed 10 in the second half, including only two in the third quarter.
Dennis Duncan had this solid drive to the hoop of a steal early on.
Bruin guys are 3-15. BHS next goes to NW Classen on Tuesday.
