It is the stretch run of basketball locally, as most high school clubs are playing across Northeast Oklahoma on Tuesday night.

Bartlesville High is back at home Tuesday evening in a big double-header against Sapulpa.

On the guy’s side, this will on paper be the best chance for a Bruin District victory. Meanwhile on the girl’s side, this could be a game that decides who finishes third in the District.

The Bruin guys have won three games, the same total as a season ago, with a younger team and still three weeks left. As the calendar turns to February head coach Tommy DeSalme says he thinks his guys are playing their smartest ball at a good time.

Meanwhile the Lady Bruins have won two straight after a 1-2 weekend in Kansas in tournament play. BHS beat both Muskogee and Sand Springs handily at the end of last week.

Lady Bruin skipper Justyn Shaw says he wants his club to be detail orientated over the next few weeks.

Sapulpa swept this double-header in Sapulpa in December by double figures. Bruin guys lost 61-22, while the Lady Bruins fell 55-41.

A 6:30 tip for the girls, guys to follow about 8:00 Tuesday night on KWON with video coverage on KWONTV.com.
