Dewey High School basketball fell in a dramatic game to Oklahoma Union on Tuesday night.

Bulldoggers fell to OKU, 42-41.

It was a nice turn around for Oklahoma Union after the Cougars fell to Dewey in the third day of the Oologah Tournament just 24 hours earlier.

In a back-and-forth game from start to finish, Dewey led by five at halftime, 20-15.

Cooper Wood hit a three-pointer late in the second quarter to break a 15-15 tie.

Dewey was held to 16 points in the second half and didn’t score a basket in the final five-and-a-half minutes. They were outscored 7-6 in the four-minute overtime period.

Connor Pierce of Oklahoma Union led the way with 19 points in the win.

Dewey and Oklahoma Union will meet again in two weeks at OKU on January 28. Dewey’s next game will be their homecoming game against Caney Valley on Friday.

The boys will play first at 6 p.m. with the girl’s game to follow at 7:30 p.m. We will have the boy’s game on KRIG 104.9 and KRIGTV.com.
