It was a good showing for the Bartlesville High basketball teams in the annual ConocoPhillips Arvest Invitational over the weekend.

BHS had both its girls and guys fall in the championship games on Saturday afternoon.

The girls fell to Broken Arrow for the second time in five days. BA topped the Bruins, 65-24.

It was a lower-scoring game this time around, but a similar result. The Lady Bruins lost by 38 at Broken Arrow this past Tuesday.

Emma Zimmerman picked up her outside shooting this past weekend, making three three-pointers for the tournament.

Bartlesville was down 17 at the half and never got closer.

Similar story on the guy’s side, as Southmoore took the title over Bartlesville, 76-32. The Bruins struggled to score and keep the Sabercats out of transition.

BHS cut the lead to 10 several times in the second quarter. This was a nice finish from Brycen Gutierrez in transition.

Lady Bruins drop to 5-4, Bruin guys are 2-9.

Both teams have two District double-headers on Tuesday and Friday.
