Caney Valley, Kansas basketball held on to beat Nowata on both sides of a double-header on Tuesday evening.

Bullpups beat the Ironmen boys, 64-54.

Caney was up double-digits for most of the game until the fourth quarter, when Nowata head man Derick Ott instituted a full court press that gave the Bullpups some fits.

Ironmen would get within four in the second half. 

Colt Hightower led the way for Caney Valley with 18.

It was a sweep for Caney, as the Lady Bullpups beat Nowata, 68-26.
