Patriot Athlete of the Week: Kaden Romesburg

It is another Monday, which means we have another spring Patriot Auto Area Athlete of the Week, as the school year is nearing its end.

This week, we will look at a surging Bartlesville Bruin baseball team and at one of its senior leaders in Kaden Romesburg. Romesburg has manned a starting outfield spot each of the last couple seasons and has become one of the premier starting pitchers in 6A.

Romesburg worked his way into a District starting role this year after being used as the No. 3 starter last season for BHS and he has been great. Romesburg has made eight starts, he has gone 5-1 with a 2.27 ERA.

Different this year, his younger brother Kanin took a starting role early this season, Kaden says Kanin did well, but has suffered a season ending injury.

As for the Bruins themselves, BHS has been solid the past four weeks, going 11-5 since late March. Romesburg was on the mound during a 4-0 shutout of Stillwater last week, the biggest win of the season. He talks about the better play of late.

Romesburg says he would like to play baseball at the next level but has not figured out where he is going to go. He says regardless of what happens he would like to end up back in Bartlesville.

Congrats to Kaden Romesburg, this week’s Patriot Auto Area Athlete of the Week, powered by Tri County Tech.
