Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball split with Evangel University on Wednesday. The women lost in overtime, 74-67, and the men dominated, 103-71.

In the women’s game, it was another comeback effort early. The Lady Eagles trailed 13-2, but turned it around to take a 28-26 lead into halftime. OKWU battled in the fourth quarter, with this three-pointer from Shade Richardson giving the Lady Eagles the lead in the final minute. OKWU couldn’t seal it in regulation, they were outscored in overtime, 12-5. The loss ends their winning streak, the Lady Eagles drop to 9-10 on the season.

The men’s game saw a much different story. The Eagles continued to shoot at incredible levels, putting up a season-high in points. As a team in the second half, OKWU shot 10-19 from the outside and scored 57 points to run away with their fourth win in a row. This three-pointer from Humberto Kentish Jr. put the Eagles in triple digits. It’s their first 100-point game of the season. The Eagles are now 10-3 in the KCAC.
