No Football at Wesleyan Christian - Again
High school football practice is into week No. 2 of action coming up on Monday.
However, for the second straight year, there will be no football at a local high school.
Wesleyan Christian School announced on social media on Friday that the Mustangs will be without football again. WCS could not get enough players to confidently play a schedule.
The Mustangs were in same position in 2025.
The statement mentions that the school is confident with a strong junior high program that football will return to WCS soon.
The Mustangs are led by Fabian Quiroz, who came on to coach the football program prior to this past season.
Despite not having a team for two years in a row, WCS is still one of the more successful eight-man programs east of I-35 since COVID-19.
Wesleyan Christian had made the playoffs for five straight years prior to not having a team in 2025.
