Finally, time for Bartlesville High playoff basketball, as the Lady Bruin’s will face Owasso in Muskogee to kick off the 6A Regionals.

Thursday night is a win-or-go-home contest. W

in against the Rams, and Bartlesville will likely have a Regional title game against Muskogee on Saturday. Lose Thursday, and BHS will be done for the season.

Being in the Muskogee Regional presents an interesting opportunity. BHS nearly had the Roughers beat at Bruin Field House earlier this month. A late seven-point lead evaporated and the Lady Bruins lost in overtime to the eventual host of this Regional.

Head coach Justyn Shaw says he wants his team to take a jump from being good to being elite.

Bartlesville’s leader in Sami Sheaffer spoke with us about the Lady Bruin’s goal moving forward. With four seniors in the starting lineup and four of the six regular rotation players as seniors, Sheaffer says the goal now is simple.
