Indians Drop Pool Play Game to Jefferson City

The Doenges Toyota Indians dropped their second game of pool play in Mountain Home, Ark. on Friday afternoon.
The Indians fell to Jefferson City, 4-1.
For Bartlesville, it was the second day in a row that they could not scratch a run across in the first four innings. The Tribe never held a lead in the contest.
Jefferson City struck for two runs in the top of the third inning and another run in the fourth to lead by three. The Indians brought their lone run across in the bottom of the fifth inning off a groundout from Zane Stricklin.
Lathe Griggs, Kamen Sprague and Jaxon Zaun each made an appearance on the mound and combined for seven strikeouts. Bartlesville batters struck out 10 times in the contest and finished with five hits.
The loss drops the Indians to 1-1 in pool play of the Twin Lakes Classic and 11-3 on the summer. Bartlesville wraps up pool play Saturday afternoon against Eden Prairie A at 3:30 p.m.
