Elaina Zamora - Patriot Athlete of The Week

Thanks to the Patriot Family of Autos Bartlesville Radio will highlight an area athlete of the week. Monday's athlete will be Wesleyan Christian School volleyball player, Elaina Zamora.
Zamora is a senior at WCS and has lived in Bartlesville since the eighth grade. She has been playing volleyball since the sixth grade. She is the Mustang’s libero, which is the main defensive position on the floor.
Zamora leads Wesleyan Christian in serve receive percentage. She also leads WCS in digs. Zamora has tallied 180 digs, which is 70 more than any other teammate.
Zamora says she enjoys both the individual and team aspects of volleyball.
Zamora’s coach at WCS, Mariah Cooks, says Zamora makes it a priority to pour into other players on and off the court with either pushing teammates to do better, uplifting players who are struggling, or leading team devotions.
Aside from volleyball, Zamora says she has a wide range of interests.
As far as this fall goes at Wesleyan Christian School, the Mustangs stand at 20-6 on the season and are the No. 6 ranked team in 3A volleyball statewide.
Zamora talks about the Mustangs this season.
Zamora says she interested in doing mission work or medical mission work when she graduates in May.
