Dewey Girls and Boys Fall in Districts
Both Dewey basketball teams lost in their 4A District finals last night after getting big wins on Thursday.
Lady Bulldoggers hung around but could never get super close to Vinita down the stretch. Hornets hung on for a 49-34 victory.
On the guy’s side Dewey fell to the host-club Catoosa, 70-46.
Bulldoggers were down by 12 at halftime and never got any closer in the second half. Dewey was close early on thanks to good three-point shooting from Zaiden Masters.
Masters made three first-half threes including this one that kept the game close.
Masters led the way with 18 points. He was the only Bulldogger in double-figures.
Both Dewey teams will face elimination on Thursday afternoon during 4A Regional play in Inola.
