BHS Sweeps at Capitol Hill - Senior Night Next

Bartlesville High boys’ and girls’ basketball both got on track with blowout wins at Capitol Hill on Tuesday night in Oklahoma City, setting up big games for the Bruins at home against Stillwater on Friday.
On the girl’s side first, BHS allowed only three points on three separate free throws in the first half and surged to a 63-12 victory at Capitol Hill.
Bartlesville scored early and often, as BHS had a 25-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
This three from Addison Jones opened up the contest late in that opening frame.
Three Lady Bruins finished in double-figures, including 16 points for Cadence Gray, which was a season high. Sami Shaeffer also had 16 while Emma Zimmerman added 14.
Kenzie Denny did not play for Bartlesville, while Kenzi Stark stepped in and made a three off the bench.
The Lady Bruins improve to 13-8 and will be one game back of fourth in the District going into the District finale against the Pioneers on Friday for senior night.
On the guy’s side, The Bruins also blitzed Capitol Hill 74-37.
The game was a bit closer early, but Bartlesville used spurts in the first few minutes and early in the third to pull away.
This Hunter Holmes three gave the Bruins some separation early in the second quarter.
Luke Massey had a career night with 17 points. Trae Collins led the Bruins in scoring with 24.
BHS guys improve to 8-14. Bartlesville will also host Stillwater on Friday evening.
