OKWU Volleyball Kicks Off Season Friday

Fall sports at Oklahoma Wesleyan University start this week as the women's volleyball season approaches.
Following the third straight season where OKWU advanced to the NAIA national tournament, the Lady Eagles are looking to return to the national stage with a different looking team.
After losing two NAIA All-Americans off last year's team, Sydney Collins and Evelyn Rohrberg, the Lady Eagles have reloaded with lots of height and depth in the blocking department.
OKWU opens their season on Friday in a tournament in Hawaii against top-level NAIA competition, including a match against the University of Providence (MT), a national quaterfinalist in last year's tournament.
The Midland Showdown will be held in Nebraska. Each team OKWU will play in that tournament qualified for the NAIA national tournament last fall. Missouri Baptist, Midland and Northwestern (IA) each advanced past the opening rounds of the tournament. Northwestern is the reigning NAIA runner-up.
The Lady Eagles will open their season on Friday against Oregon Tech and the University of Providence on Friday in Hawaii.
