The 2026 Patriot Auto Night of Scholars and Champions Banquet is just over a week away and we have one final Patriot Auto Athlete of the Week before the celebration.

This week, we stay on home base and feature Bartlesville Bruin baseball standout Sam Hill.
Hill has assumed the role this spring for the Bruins as one of their top hitters while also getting lots of work on the mound. In Hill's one and only season with BHS, he says the new coaching staff has improved his game.

Hill transferred to Bartlesville after spending three years at Oklahoma Union High School in Northern Nowata County. He led a Cougar bunch last spring to their first ever state tournament. Hill talks about why he transferred from OKU.

As far as the future goes, Hill will play baseball at Allen County Community College in Iola, Kan. He talks about what drew him to the school.

Hill says he wants to pursue the field of dentistry.

Bruin baseball is back in action on Monday and Tuesday this week for their final district series against Putnam City North. The Bruins are 16-15 overall after a perfect non-district weekend.

Congrats once again to Sam Hill, this week's Patriot Auto Group Area Athlete of the Week, powered by Tri County Tech.
