Castillo to Enter Transfer Portal

Former Bartlesville High boys’ basketball standout David Castillo is going into the transfer portal.
According to several members of the national college basketball media, Castillo will enter the portal following his second season at Kansas State with two years of eligibility remaining.
Castillo took notable steps forward in his sophomore campaign in Manhattan, averaging 10.3 points-per-game and shot 35-percent from three.
Castillo was one of the biggest high school recruiting wins for former Wildcat head coach Jerome Tang. Tang was fired in February after a poor start to Big 12 play.
Castillo’s high school recruiting had several ties to the region, as he picked K-State over Oklahoma State and Kansas.
Castillo is the leading scorer in Bartlesville Bruin history, playing three years at BHS before transferring to Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita for his senior year.
