OKM Music Gearing Up for Especially for Kids

As the OKM Festival nears, so does the Especially for Kids programs ahead of the shows.
Appearing on COMMUNTY CONNECTION, Rose Hammerschmidt with OKM said, "Especially for Kids runs May 29 – June 4. It's a 10-day children’s festival integrated into the broader OKM Music Festival."
Rose encouraging parents to watch for school flyers after Easter and to register early as programs fill up. Especially for Kids features:
- Creative programming: Storytimes, puppet shows, and interactive concerts.
- Educational hands-on: Art immersions and the Keyboard Orchestra camp.
- The Philosophy: Moving beyond "watching" to "participating" to build confidence and curiosity in children.
Rose said the The Outdoor Grand Finale will be a fun and wonderful even for the whole family with a nostalgic, "old-fashioned" summer celebration to close out the EFK week. It will features Red, white, and blue décor, family cookout vibes, and outdoor games.
Rose invites all to The "Sugar Plum Shoppe" which is currently stocked with Easter décor and Jellycats—where all proceeds directly fund these youth programs.
