Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball split another conference doubleheader in Leavenworth, Kan. on Wednesday night.

The Lady Eagles fell to the University of Saint Mary, 88-60, the Eagles pulled another one out, 80-75.

In the women's game, the Lady Eagles had trouble containing the outside shot. The Spires got hot quickly with eight three-pointers in the first half. Saint Mary opened the game on a 13-2 run. In the second quarter, this three-pointer from Taliyah Harris cut the deficit back to single digits.

Harris finished with a team-high 12 points with two three-pointers in the game.

The Lady Eagles drop to 5-10 with the loss and 1-8 in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.

On the men's side, the Eagles played without two starters for the second straight night and still found what they wanted on offense. Down seven early, OKWU surged back to take a 46-37 lead at halftime. They never trailed in the second half.

Up by three in the final minute, this alley-oop from Jaden Wilson to Tamaje Izuagbe helped seal the deal.

Izuagbe was once again the team's leading scorer with 17 points and three rebounds. He fouled out shortly after the dunk.

The Eagles with the win improve to 13-2 overall and 8-1 in KCAC play.

Both clubs return on Saturday for a rematch with Friends University at home. The Lady Eagles will tip-off at 3 p.m. with the men to follow around 5 p.m. Both games can be heard on Sports Talk, 99.1 FM - KPGM.
