Panthers Attempting to Overcome Injury Bug

Injuries played a key factor in Barnsdall's 41-6 loss to Fairland on Friday night. With five players going down in that game, those injuries could play a key role in how the Panthers do at Woodland on Friday night.

When speaking with coach Kylee Sweeney on Tuesday, he was unsure what the status of those players would be, but quarterback Lincoln Gott's knee injury was among a handful of those that were questionable to play on Friday. Sweeney said the Panthers must use this as a next man up mentality.

Sweeney is familiar with this Woodland coaching staff and while the defending Class A-II state champions have lost a lot from last year's team, he knows the Cougars will come ready to play.

Barnsdall's game at Woodland kicks off at 7 p.m. this Friday and is our game of the week on 100.1 KYFM. Video coverage will also be available on KWONTV.com.
