BFD Chief Reminds Bartians No Fireworks Within City Limits

As we approach Independence Day and several people in the area are purchasing fireworks, Bartlesville Fire Chief H.C. Call reminds everyone that setting off fireworks within the city limits is prohibited.
Chief Hall says if residents need to report illegal fireworks use in Bartlesville, do not call 911. Instead, residents should call the non-emergency line to police at 918-338-4001.
Hall says there are three permitted public firework shows within the city. On July 3, Hillcrest Country Club will have fireworks, July 4 will be the Kiwanis Club of Bartlesville Freedom Fest at Sooner Park and July 5 a fireworks display will occur at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium for the Glen Winget Memorial Baseball Tournament.
