Bartlesville High baseball is back after it again this evening, weather pending, coming off one of the Bruin’s most dramatic games of the season.

Bixby nipped BHS 2-1 in 11 innings on Tuesday night. It took four extra frames for the Spartans to beat Bartlesville, eventually walking the game off on an unearned run with one out.

Barrett Merciez and Hunter Shea manned the mound for BHS and kept the Bruins in it despite not doing a ton with the bats.

Head coach Cody Price gives his thoughts on the game a day later.

A theme in some Bruin losses this year, Bartlesville errors. When BHS has minimal defensive issues, it’s almost always in the game against the best of 6A. If some defensive problems crop up, the games sometimes to get away from BHS.

Price talks about the Bruin’s margin for error this spring.

BHS is at home against Collinsville on Thursday evening at 5:30 from Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium. The Bruins are 17-12 on the year.
