Bruin Baseball Now 2-1 in Alabama

Bartlesville High baseball is now 2-1 during its Spring Break trip in Gulf Shores, Alabama, as the Bruins split a pair of games on Tuesday.

BHS lost to Wright City, 8-4 in game one, but rebounded with a 3-1 game two win over Charles Henderson, Alabama.

In the first game BHS battled back after giving up five runs in the top of the first inning. The Bruins outscored Wright City 4-3 the rest of the way, but the writing was on the wall. Kanin Romesburg and Hunter Shae combined to give up four earned runs.

In game two, Barrett Merciez and Sam Marcella combined to allow five hits, had 11 strikeouts and only one walk. Merciez also had one of the Bruin’s four hits for a double.

BHS is now 6-5 on the season.

The Bruins will wrap up play in Alabama with a game against Fayette County, Georgia on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00.
