OKWU Basketball Departs for Kansas City

Brian McSweeney
Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball is going back to Kansas City for the round of 16 in the NAIA national tournament. With that, we continue to preview their upcoming contest with Baker University on Friday night.
The Eagles went 2-0 in Sioux Center, Iowa, with wins over Mid-America Christian University and Dordt University last weekend to punch their ticket to the final site.
Standout guard Derrick Talton Jr. led the scoring in both games for the Eagles. He went for 30 against MACU and 24 against Dordt. Talton Jr. credits his teammates for the way he played.
Tip-off for Friday night is scheduled for 7 p.m. from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City. We will have coverage of the game on KWON - AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1.
