OKWU Basketball Hosts Sterling College

Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball continues their three-game homestand on Saturday with another doubleheader against Sterling College.
 
OKWU is coming off of a sweep on Wednesday of Southwestern to start this homestand. The women won, 82-62, the men won their eighth straight, 75-67.
 
The Lady Eagles enter the contest with a record of 11-12. They are 8-9 in the KCAC and sit in ninth place in the conference standings. OKWU was in a back-and-forth game with Southwestern until the Lady Eagles blew it open in the fourth. Head coach Heidi Messer points to her team's execution and defensive effort in the win. Last time around against Sterling, OKWU fell on the road, 84-61.
 
The Eagles enter their second battle with Sterling with an overall record of 17-6. They are 14-3 in the KCAC and share the conference lead with Friends University. Last time they played Sterling they lost by three on Dec. 7, 71-68. Head coach Donnie Bostwick addressed Sterling's outlook.
 
The Lady Eagles will get the afternoon started on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the men to follow at 3 p.m. at the Mueller Sports Center.
