The Pawhuska Huskies celebrated homecoming with resounding victories against Pawnee on Thursday night. The Lady Huskies cruised to a 55-28 win and after a back and forth first half, the boys went on to win, 65-58. They led by double digits for a majority of the second half.

The boys led by three at the break and halftime was nearly 30 minutes, as the homecoming court was presented to the crowd. Pawhuska took full advantage of the extended break though, as the Huskies opened the second half on an 8-0 run before a Pawnee timeout. Jenson Snodgrass opened the quarter with a three-pointer. Here is how Pawhuska scored those other five points.

Canyon Hindman led all scorers for Pawhuska, finishing with 24 points.
After a bit of a slow offensive start for the Lady Huskies, shots began to fall in the waning minutes of the first half. It started with a Hannah Reynolds three-pointer and then as has been the case all year, defense leading to offense.

Pawhuska never surrendered am early second half lead before going on to get the 27-point win. Emily Curry and Brooklyn Miles were each in double figures for Pawhuska.

Up next for Pawhuska is a game at Hennesey on Saturday. Both teams will play Pond Creek Hunter. Girls will tip at 6 p.m. with the boys to follow on 99.1 FM KPGM and KPGMTV.com.
