Big matchup in small college basketball locally on Wednesday night, as Oklahoma Wesleyan hosts Saint Mary in a battle for first place in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference on the men’s side.

OKWU is the only one-loss team in the conference, while the Spires lead the KCAC at 8-0.

The Eagles have not played since a double-digit loss to Langston at the Paycom Center, their only game over the Christmas Break.

Since then, both Eagle’s post players in Jaden Leitzke and Jaden Wilson have come back from injury.

Head coach Donnie Bostwick says the postponement of this past Saturday’s game against Bethany has helped his club get healthy.

Saint Mary has been one of the best teams in the conference over the past calendar year.

Bostwick says the two teams are more alike than they are different.
