Oklahoma Union is coming off of a 60-0 win over Caney Valley last week to go into their homecoming game against 4-2 Tonkawa on Friday. OKU is 2-5 on the season and 1-3 in District , with their two wins this season being their most since 2021.

OKU Head Coach Stephen Trammell says that this team has had to battle through challenges in regards to injuries and things and is proud that they have fought to stay in the playoff hunt with three games remaining.

The Cougars face a Tonkawa team that is 3-1 in district play, coming off of a dominant 41-6 win over Morrison last week. but Trammell says that establishing the running game against a stout run defense of Tonkawa will be huge.

Kickoff is slated for 7 pm Friday in South Coffeyville.
