Season of Change for OU Football

We are exactly a month away from Sooner football, as OU is getting set for its first season in the SEC.

It is a season of change in more ways than one for Oklahoma football.

OU is breaking in a new offensive coordinator and a new quarterback in addition to the new conference.

Former OC Jeff Lebby moved on to become the head coach at Mississippi State, while QB Dillion Gabriel transferred to Oregon this past offseason.

Sooner fans are likely hoping this will push them over the top in close games. Brent Venables turned things around a bit this past fall, he won 10 games, but most of the struggles Oklahoma has had the past couple years have been in one-score games.

Venables talks about it.

Sooners will start their season on Aug. 30 at home against Temple, a Friday night contest.

OU football airs on 100.1 – KYFM this fall.
