With the 4^th of July approaching, there will be plenty of fun to participate in in the area. In Nowata, they will be holding their “Thursday in the Park” at Jack Gordon Park.

The day will be filled with activities starting at 12 pm and will run through the evening with fireworks after dark. From 12-3, you can get yourself a catfish plate or wait until 4 pm when they start serving pulled pork plates.

Games and snow cones will be other things going on all day at the park. At 5 pm there will be a live auction along with a DJ playing music before giving away free watermelon at 7 pm.
