A Bartlesville man was arrested by a special operations team Wednesday morning on the felony charges of two counts of stalking and placing threatening or harassing phone calls. Michael Blatchford is accused of making multiple phone calls to the Bartlesville Fire Dept. ranging back to October 2023.

Deputy Fire Chief David Topping reported that he had received a concerning voicemail on his work phone of Blatchford requesting $187 million and claiming the fire dept. had been harassing him and his wife. Later on, Bartlesville Fire Station #3 reported they had received over 40 calls from Blatchford.

According to an affidavit, Blatchford also made 12 online police reports with the BPD. Blatchford accused the Bartlesville Police, EMS, and various neighbors in his vicinity of his residence of “stalking, torturing, using microwaves weapons on me and my mother’s skin and making covert death threats against me and family.”

On May 12th, Blatchford also had been outside a residence on SE Concord blowing a whistle and banging on a door until the victim went back inside of their house. The victim said this had been going on for a while and would stop when they were in their house.

One victim also said that Blatchford had left multiple threatening notes on their door, which made them fear to be outside of their home. Blatchford is currently being held over on a $75,000 bond and his next court date is set for June 22nd.
