On Tuesday, there was a water line break in the area of 8th and Oak Street in Bartlesville, near the Washington County Detention Center.

A Facebook post from the Washington County Sheriff's Office states that The City of Bartlesville water department crews responded to fix the break. Upon arrival, they found another break in the same line. Water supply to the detention center was off for several hours, but the water department crews worked quickly to resolve the issues and Sheriff Scott Owen said several local organizations stepped up as well.

This kind of community involvement, resources and commitment to help one another are what help keep our city and county infrastructure running and in top order.”

Washington County Emergency Management and the Osage Nation brought in bottled water and a 500 gallon water buffalo to the facility to keep staff and inmates hydrated and ensure sanitary measures were kept in place.
