WCS Tries for 1st Win at Claremore Christian

Wesleyan Christian School will have another chance to get its first win of the season on Friday night.

The Mustangs will take on Claremore Christian in Foyil for their third game of the year.

WCS has taken it on the chin during its first two games this year, including a 64-8 loss to Keota last week.

The last time Wesleyan Christian started 0-2, in 2021, the Mustangs rallied to win five straight and host a playoff game.

Including this Friday night’s game, WCS still has three non-District games left. Head coach Blain Landers says even though these are basically preseason games, he wants his team to capture some momentum heading into District play in three weeks.

WCS has beaten Claremore Christian the past two years by a combined score of 101-8.

A 7:00 kick off in Foyil.

Wesleyan’s first game away from Bartlesville this season.
