WCS Aiming for Football This Fall
We continue our look at spring football throughout the area, as the second week of practices across Northeast Oklahoma.
One of the more interesting team camps across the area is in town at Wesleyan Christian School.
The Mustangs were a late scratch from the 2025 football season after WCS couldn’t find enough guys to start up its season.
Fabian Quiroz is still the head man at Wesleyan Christian. It is his second season at WCS for football. He was unable to coach a year ago because of the number’s situation, but the Mustangs are going to give it a go again this fall.
Quiroz says his smaller number of guys have still been hard at work this entire school year during eighth hour. Qurioz talks about WCS football.
Qurioz says there are about 11 guys planning on playing this year, which still gives Wesleyan Christian a thin margin for this upcoming season. Three of those 11 are incoming freshman, which means eight of the athletes were already in high school.
Quiroz talks about recruiting the hallways over the past six months.
Wesleyan Christian School is slated to be in eight-man football again this year.
