Thunder Take Kentucky Leader

One more pick in the 2026 NBA Draft last night for the Oklahoma City Thunder, as OKC picked a name familiar to sports fans statewide.

The Thunder took Kentucky forward Otega Oweh.

Oweh spent two seasons at Oklahoma before finishing out his collegiate career with the Wildcats.

OKC took him at No. 41 overall in the second-round on Wednesday night.

Oklahoma City traded back four spots with the Miami Heat for cash considerations to make the 41^st pick.
