Sweeney Excited to Get 2026 Started in Barnsdall
Heading into the 2026 season, the Barnsdall football team will have 14 seniors on its roster, several of which are skill position players. With Coach Kylee Sweeney entering his 11th season as head coach of the Panthers, that group knows what to expect and Sweeney has attempted to build a model of consistency along the way.
Practice began on Monday for Barnsdall and with the four day school week that Barnsdall has adopted, they are already back in the classroom. Sweeney talks about how they have balanced that and what his group has been working on.
Barnsdall opens the regular season on Friday, August 28 with a game at Caney Valley.
