Sooners Beat TCU in Final Regular Season Game as Big 12 Member
Dylan Gabriel and Gavin Sawchuk each had a hat trick in a high scoring 69-45 Sooner victory over the TCU Horned Frogs on Friday afternoon. It was a game that the Sooners controlled throughout, as they never trailed and led 42-16 at halftime.
Leading 28-13 midway through the second quarter, Sawchuk scored on this 8-yard touchdown run, giving Oklahoma a 35-13 lead and control of the game.
The Horned Frogs scored a touchdown trimming the lead to two scores late in the third quarter, but 17 unanswered points by the Sooners put the game out of reach.
Friday's game was the last regular season game as a member of the Big 12 Conference for OU and possibly the last Big 12 opponent they will play this year. If the Sooners want a crack at the Big 12 Title game, they will need either a Texas loss tonight or an OSU loss tomorrow as the Pokes take on BYU on KWON AM 1400 FM 93.3 95.1. Pregame starts at 12:30 and kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
