Echoing throughout the college football world after day 1 of the SEC Media Days, is the threats from the conference to break away from the NCAA.
This threat coming amid consternation from the conference due to the Protect College Sports Act, which is currently under debate in congress.
ESPN talked about the story Monday afternoon.
During his opening comments for SEC media days, commissioner Greg Sankey spent quite a bit of time talking about the future of college sports and the conference’s place.
Sankey and the conference continue to threaten to push tidal waves through the sport if concessions are not made by congress on the bill that continues to be debated.
