Pokes at US Open

A couple former Oklahoma State Cowboys are hanging around after one day at the US Open.

Former Poke and Stillwater resident Viktor Hovland is tied for 20^th after one day at Oakmount Country Club. Hovland finished at one over 71. He went bogey, birdie, bogey birdie over the final four holes to complete an up-and-down Thursday.

His one over par is five shots back of the leader, American JJ Spaun, who is -4 after the first round yesterday. Spaun is alone in first.

Meanwhile another former Poke in Wyndham Clark is at four over par after one day. He had a double-bogey on 18.
