Pawhuska Ready for Regional Matchup Against Okemah

The Pawhuska Huskies and Lady Huskies have each reached the regional tournament and both teams will travel to Okemah to face the host team. The boys are in a must-win situation in a Thursday afternoon game against Okemah and the girls are playing for a berth into the regional title game on Saturday night in Stroud.

Boys Coach Jason Snodgrass doesn't like being put in the hole that they have put themselves in, but says the experience on this year's team should pay dividends this weekend.

Snodgrass says this week of practice has been a good one and now it is about getting in the right frame of mind to play an agressive 12-12 Okemah team.

The Lady Huskies will be taking on an Okemah team that has won 12 straight games. Pawhuska has been on a roll of late as well, winning seven of their last eight. Coach David Cash talks about the key to his team peaking at the right time.

Cash goes on to talk about what makes this Okemah team so dangerous.

The boys will tip off at 2:30 p.m. and the Lady Huskies will get started at 6 p.m. Both of those games can be heard on 99.1 FM KPGM and audio will be available on KPGMTV.com.
