Oologah Hoops Beats Dewey

The Oologah Mustangs beat the Dewey Bulldoggers on Friday night in the semifinals of the RCB Winter Invitational.
 
Oologah topped the Doggers, 68-51.
 
Outside shooting led the way for Oologah, the Mustangs scored 41 points in the first half, with 25 points in the first quarter. This three-pointer by Cal Easterwood late in the first quarter extended the Oologah lead to eight.
 
Dewey started to mount a little bit of a comeback in the third, trimming the deficit back to 10. This three-pointer from Zach Renfroe made it a 10-point game.
 
That's as close as Dewey would get, as Oologah pulled away in the fourth, stretching the lead as large as 22 points.
 
The win sends Oologah on to the finals of the RCB Winter Invitational against Cleveland at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday night. The Mustangs are 6-5 overall.
 
Dewey's five-game winning streak comes to a close with the loss. They will play Vinita for third place on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. The Doggers are 10-2 on the campaign.
 
In the girls game, the Lady Bulldoggers also fell to Oologah, 61-56. Dewey will play for third place at 4 p.m. Oologah will play in the finals at 7 p.m.
