OKWU Rolls Past SUNO in NAIA Round One

Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball dominated in the first round of the NAIA national tournament on Friday night over Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO).
The Eagles ran past the Knights, 104-66.
Offense came frequent and often for OKWU. The Eagles started off the game on an 11-0 run. They never trailed in the contest.
The Eagles opened up a 22 point lead at the halftime break, 44-22.
OKWU kicked their offense into a new gear in the second half, striking for 60 points in the final frame. They took 48 shots in the final 20 minutes and made half of them.
The Eagles advance to Saturday's second round matchup, also in Bartlesville, against the 8-seed Montana Tech. The Orediggers beat Oklahoma City University in their first round game on Friday night, 91-87.
