Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball opens the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) tournament at home on Thursday night for Avila University.

The Eagles finished atop the KCAC standings for the fifth year in a row to automatically punch their ticket to the NAIA national tournament.

After falling in the semifinals of last year's conference tournament, head coach Donnie Bostwick says his team has been ready to get back to this stage.

OKWU takes on Avila for the third time this season after sweeping the Eagles in the regular season. OKWU won on the road on Dec. 3, 71-56, and won at home on Jan. 28, 76-71. Avila enters the contest 17-11 overall and 12-10 in the KCAC. Avila got past Tabor in the season finale on Saturday to clinch the final spot in the top eight.

Bostwick talks about the approach to playing a team three times.

OKWU's campaign in the conference tournament starts at 7 p.m. at the Mueller Sports Center. Coverage can be heard on Real Country - KRIG, 104.9 FM.
