OKWU Basketball: A Look Back at History

In the wake of Oklahoma Wesleyan's historic run through the NAIA national tournament, we continue to look back at the incredible season the Eagles put together.

For the first time in their history, OKWU finished as the national runner-up this past season, falling to the College of Idaho in the national championship game. It was their second time in program history making it that far after winning a national championship in 2009.

The appearance in the Fab Four was the first since 2010 and just the third appearance in a national semifinal in program history.

Head coach Donnie Bostwick talks about what everyone will remember.

Oklahoma Wesleyan was ranked 23rd in the nation in the final NAIA Coaches' Poll on Feb. 26. The Eagles beat four top 10 teams and two top five teams in those same final rankings in the tournament to hang around for a national championship appearance.

Bostwick talked about how his newcomers were able to help unite the group during the championship quest.

Oklahoma Wesleyan finished the season 28-8 and were regular season conference champions for the fourth year in a row.
