Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball is back in action on Saturday afternoon for their final Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader before winter break. OKWU takes on Bethel College.

Both OKWU clubs are coming off a sweep on Wednesday night over Southwestern College. The Lady Eagles got their first conference win of the season that night, the Eagles secured their ninth straight win.

On the women's side, the Lady Eagles enter at 1-5 in KCAC play and 5-6 overall. Head coach Heidi Messer talked about her team's defense.

The Lady Eagles beat Southwestern on Wednesday night, 78-67.

On the men's side, the Eagles are still soaring. OKWU has won nine straight and currently sit 10-1 overall. The Eagles are off to a 6-0 start in KCAC play.

A big factor the last two games has been keeping the turnovers down. The Eagles turned the ball over 23 times against Avila last week and had 15 turnovers the last two games combined. OKWU had just seven against Southwestern.

Head coach Donnie Bostwick talked about playing quick without being in a hurry.

The Lady Eagles will get the afternoon started at 1 p.m. with the men to follow around 3 p.m. Both games can be heard on Sports Talk, 99.1 FM - KPGM.
